Sewing at last

Jack is getting better and has been given the green light to resume all activity he wants. My spider bite has gone without lasting results as far as we can see. I have an appointment to have the doctor inject my knees again as the stairs are becoming a challenage again.

We have had beautiful weather albeit windy and I have been able to do a little piecing on my Little B machine. Finished the blocks for a "Fun and Done" star quilt and now have to put them together. Also prepared some large blocks for buttonhole applique. The pattern is Irish Rose from 100 Applique Quilt Patterns by Jan Halgrimson. A very useful book for patterns for applique.

I know we will soon be fishing and I can work on the buttonhole applique and also on my Grandmothers Flower Garden Hexie quilt. So at least I have stuff ready to go when we go. I keep a sewing machine in the motorhome but when out in the boat only hand work will do.

Out of sorts here

Have spent over a month getting over a cold that lasted the entire month of February. Then I got a Hobo spider bite and had to keep my leg up for a couple of weeks so I haven't been able to sew or compute. I'm itching to get to both.

Now my best friend and life partner has had a small stroke. No paralysis but a headache and restricted activity for him. It was brought on by Plavix and aspirin so neither of those for him. Well we are in pretty good shape for the shape we are in and we will continue to live as full of life as we can.

Will be getting down to the sewing machine soon!!! Things always look better when viewed through the eye of a needle.

Progress on Bonnies Mystery

I've been enjoying "Little B" to sew patches for Bonnie's NYE mystery. I love her choice of colors and followed them. (Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery). I've looked ahead by now as I was seeing it all over the net. My fault I'm slow getting things done.
